Care staff in-house training day
If you have a suitable room you may book a date at your premises/venue. We can run a series of 3 micro courses (2 hour sessions) for a day training
level 1 health & safety
9.00am – 11.00am
covers: safety at work, risk assessment, COSHH, manual handling, fire safety.
Safe use of Medicines
11.20am – 1.20pm
covers: up to date legal duty, avoiding mistakes..short test included.
dementia awareness
2.00pm – 4.00pm
covers: understanding of illness, importance of care and patience.
Choice of subjects include:
- Epilepsy Awareness (with or without buccal training)
- Diabetes Awareness
- Infection Control
- Autism Awareness
- Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SoVA)
- Mental Capacity Act & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (MCA/DoLS)
- Level 1 Health & Safety
- Level 1 Food Safety
- Dysphasia
- Manual Handling
- Risk Assessment
- Safe Use of Medicines
- Emergency Life Saver (basic first aid)
- Substance Abuse
- Dementia Awareness
- Hoist training (we can provide a mobile hoist if needed)
* all courses can be trained in 2 or 3 hour sessions
